The album is described as like being trapped in an ominous dream-state.

The album title "pan opt" is a stylized reference to Foucault's panoptic principle. If you are unfamiliar with his work, i feel pretty much everyone should read his book Discipline and Punish: The Birth of the Prison.

My production techniques are in the middle of a shift from software to hardware, and examples of both are found on this album. The first 7 tracks contain various types of complex percussion, while the final 3 are ambient tracks.
